Chapters
One hour a month. Run by you.
A chapter is the smallest thing that compounds: one room, one hour, every month, run by founders who live there. This page is the whole deal, fine print included.
What organizers do
Host The Badass Hour once a month. Pick two founders willing to tell the truth. Hold the code of conduct. Keep it free. That is the entire job, and it is a real one: about four hours a month, most of it finding great storytellers.
What you get
The full toolkit: run of show, host script, speaker-prep one-pager, brand kit, code of conduct, and the sponsor one-pager. A two-hour certification call. The name, licensed free. And every other organizer, one message away.
Who should raise a hand
Two or more founders per city works best. You do not need a big following or a fancy venue. You need a room, a coffee pot, and the will to do it monthly for a long time.
The honest fine print
The name and toolkit are licensed to chapters at no cost under a simple written agreement. It exists to protect the community, not to control it. The license asks three things:
- Events stay free. No tickets, no "suggested donations" at the door.
- The format stays the format. The Badass Hour, monthly, as written.
- The code of conduct is enforced. Actually enforced, not framed on a wall.
Break those and the license goes away. Keep them and nobody will ever tell you how to run your room. That is the whole contract.
How it starts
- Raise your hand. Tell us your city and a sentence about you.
- A two-hour certification call. The format, the code of conduct, the toolkit, your questions.
- Pick a room and two founders. We help you prep both speakers.
- Run your first Badass Hour. Then do it again next month. That is the secret.
